Greenhouses

One of the early and simple methods of using solar power is the use of greenhousees. A greenhouse is a building that gathers energy from the sun and traps the heat inside a building that uses special materials such as glass or plastics to trap the energy from the sun. Therefore, the greenhouse can provide warmth in relatively cold climates.

just thought it would be worthwhile mentioning that leds are coming out now at about 12 bucks each from costco. They replace a 23 watt compact with a 3.5 watt led. nice yellowish light, too.
